This forum on Education in China’s Greater Bay Area (GBA) serves to shed light on a significant theme about the cross-border student mobility in the GBA. Driven by the long-term strategy of mainland central government under the master plan of GBA, new policy measures and initiatives have been launched to encourage students to study cross the border. With the emergence of a strong cross-border flow of students between Chinese Mainland and the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau, such brain circulation could be part of a regionalization strategy for China’s Greater Bay Area. From students’ perspectives, the researchers will share their findings and insights on two types and directions of student flow: first, the motivations and experiences of mainland students to pursue postgraduate degrees in Macau; second, the choice of Hong Kong students to take undergraduate programs in Chinese Mainland.
