The Consortium for Higher Education Research in Asia examines global issues in higher education that are relevant to Hong Kong, China and the surrounding region. CHERA scholars draw upon sociological, economic and policy perspectives to carry out empirical research on a range of topics that advance the study of the globalization and Easternization of international higher education. These topics enrich research in three main fields: the science of learning, educational policy and equity and social justice.
